I've had to push myself over the last couple years after my ex left and my parents had just passed on. I was already enrolled in a masters program to become a reading specialist, as I am a teacher. I went to therapy for 6-9 months, then signed on to go to a weekend retreat at Yogaville--a very holistic place. Turns out it was a combination of yoga and life coaching.

I started to investigate coaching while continuing my studies and teaching full time--the structure of all that kept me from falling in to my own pity for too long at a time.

I decided to hire a life coach who specialized in divorce recovery (I was still separated) and that gave me the strength to file for the divorce on my own in order to take back my own life. I also hired a second coach for a while to see the difference in styles and she was female (my first was male).

When I was less than a year away from finishing my masters degree, I felt the time was right to start coach training and to start practicing what I've been learning. Now that I've got my head together (ha/ha--let's say in a better place then in the beginning!) I'm now living my dream of coaching others to find that wisdom, power, and grace are within them already.

I've made a commitment to coach 100 people in the next two years to increase my experience as a professional coach by joining the Experienced Coach Program. This means I need to coach one new person every week for a minimum of thirty minutes.

Would you be willing to let me give you 30 minutes of free coaching?

My one request is that I will need you to fill out an easy 5-minute feedback form to prove I coached you.

After you receive your complimentary 30 minute session and I get your feedback form, you may be interested in additional coaching. If so, I currently hold evening phone sessions by appointment. A few daytime sessions on Friday and weekends may be available.
(Long distance charges may apply depending on your phone package as you usually call into my coaching phone number unless otherwise arranged. I do not have an international phone plan at this time, but I do have skype.

Let's stir the spirit within--all the wisdom, power, and grace are within you to change your life.
The Effect of Not Doing

When We Don't Take Action

Life is sculpted on a moment-to-moment basis. Every one of the thoughts we think, the words we speak, and the actions we take contributes to the complex quality and character of the universe's unfolding. It simply is not possible to be alive without making an impact on the world that surrounds us. Every action taken affects the whole as greatly as every action not taken. And when it comes to making the world a better place, what we choose not to do can be just as important as what we choose to do.

For example, when we neglect to recycle, speak up, vote, or help somebody in immediate need, we are denying ourselves the opportunity to be an agent for positive change. Instead, we are enabling a particular course to continue unchallenged, picking up speed even at it goes along. By holding the belief that our actions don't make much of a difference, we may find that we often tend to forego opportunities for involvement. Alternatively, if we see ourselves as important participants in an ever-evolving world, we may feel more inspired to contribute our unique perspective and gifts to a situation.

It is wise to be somewhat selective about how and where we are using our energy in order to keep ourselves from becoming scattered. Not every cause or action is appropriate for every person. When a situation catches our attention, however, and speaks to our heart, it is important that we honor our impulse to help and take the action that feels right for us. It may be offering a kind word to a friend, giving resources to people in need, or just taking responsibility for our own behavior. By doing what we can, when we can, we add positive energy to our world. And sometimes, it may be our one contribution that makes all the difference.

www.dailyom.com

I have begun the journey I started dreaming about and planning for 2 years ago. After much researching and having 2 life coaches of my own, I have joined the coaching world. I've become obsessed with tele-conferences, workshops, websites and the like. I count my cell phone minutes, agonize over whether I need a land line, & which company should I use. I read forums, take classes, & practice with coaching buddies. I have coached a few friends and 1 family member. I am about to take the plunge with the Experienced Coach Program to sharpen my skills by giving free 30 minute sessions in return for a 5 minute survey that needs to be filled out so I can get credit for the session and to give me feedback.

More to come on this soon. Meanwhile checkout my website--and feel free to offer suggestions--what do you like? What would you like to see different?

www.stirringthespiritwithin.com Stir it up - with life coach Jude Eastman (c)

My pecan pie experiment was a flop--but how else to learn? I don't think the agar was the issue, but that I cooked it with the pumkin pie at a length and temperature that was too long and too hot for the sugar. What I ended up with was solid pecan hard candy!

We put it in plastic bags, smashed it with the cast iron skillet, and ate the crumbles with a spoon. Unfortunately the hardness/stickiness broke off some enamal on one of my crowns (it was already partly chipped)! Too funny since I kept telling everyone else not to break their teeth on it!

Lovely dinner. My daughter brought the baked pear salad out of Vegetarian Times. Wow! What a lovely surprise. Her cooking skills have blosoomed, along with her maturity. She was all about helping me in the kitchen. Her sig other made a lovely tender bread for the meal, and my son the extrodinary mashed potatoes.

I am blessed to have such a lovely, loving family. I am thankful that all my needs are met by the one true Source.

OK--so I've been absent from zaads awhile...I'm in a masters program and teaching full time, but checking in now. Much to do, pies to bake, cleaning for company arriving tomorrow. (daughter and sig other & one son)

Going to try a vegan pecan pie using agar for thickening! I make a vegan pumpkin pie and the tofurky's defrosting. Altho I am not vegan, all 3 kids are and I don't have a big stake in murdering another turkey (I can get leftovers from a friend if I really need a meat fix-but it's not the norm).

Looking to make some new friends--people with similar values. Looking forward to reconecting with old Zaads friends too. I am thankful for the love of family and collegues, for being able to support myself ,and knowing my needs are met by more than personal human effort.

Sending light and love to all in the community this Thanksgiving season--
Blessings--Jude

I walk the same path every day
Along a well-worn, friendly way,
And precious memories regain
The stage to sing their sweet refrain.

This quiet time brings healing power
As I let love command the hour;
Then soon I am renewed, made whole-
A resurrection lifts my soul!

Though I have much yet to let go,
Lingering memories must grow.
They need this rendezvous to talk
And share deep longings while I walk.

Dear God, help me that I may live
Less to forget, more to forgive.
May all my thoughts today now find
Companionship in heart and mind!

By Norman V.

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.

BUT......... Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many
miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing
her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by
yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you
on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting
with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even
break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters,
sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and
extended family, all bless our life! The world wouldn't be the same
without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called
womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay
ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we
need each other still.

There are many angels in this world.
One is reading this mail right here, right now

Author unknown

What tarot card are you?

You are The Lovers
Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

To
quote the Bhagavad Gita, ‘Tyagat shantir anantaram.' Only with Tyaga-only by
leading a dedicated life, do you have unending peace. In this New Year, may
you experience peace and joy in your life. Live as good yogis and set
examples for others. Let all others be inspired by your life. Don't use your
words. Things are easily said, but hardly done. Instead, let humanity see in
you the beauty of a living a dedicated life. May God bless you with that
peaceful, joyful life."

"God bless you. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi."

"And how you ask are we to walk the spiritual path? We answer: Say little; love much; give all; judge no-one; aspire to all that is pure and good-and keep on keeping on." --White Eagle

The Swan
by Judith Eastman

Like a black cloud
it settles in for a while-
the inability to concentrate,
little decisions take on grand proportions,
pessimism about the marriage.
Just when I had pronounced it dead,
a voice called from the grave,
Maybe there is some hope for us yet.

I feel a bit like
a wounded swan
looking for her lost mate.
The trouble is
He flew off without her-
against the natural order of things.
They were supposed to be mates
for life.

Hesitantly, cautiously,
I approach this one last effort.
My wounds are almost healed
and the scars are fresh.
I am not in a hurry to rip them open.
I respond - make a list-
What are the deal breakers?
Do you want ME more than
you don't want another
failure in your cap?

Roll it around,
think on it awhile.
Use the strength and intelligence
God gives to see this through.
The swan WILL find her way home again,
even if it is alone.

Notes From The Author:
Judith Eastman, a school teacher, from Eastern Virginia is going through a separation and possible divorce after 31 years of marriage

l love the term crone. I've been fast tracked to growth. My world fell out form under my feet and I am replacing it a spadeful at a time with rich black composted earth full of the richness that was already within me and in others who are holding my hand in this journey.--Let's howl at the moon-Jude

Being groundless is such fertile soil for growth and forward motion.

For me "being groundless" means in the last year losing both parents to their passing on and having my husband leave our marriage of 30 years. All the ground I thought I knew had slipped out from under my feet. Till I began rediscovering me.

For all Those Who Have Lost a Loved One

by Rev. Paulson from a Unity Church

They know me not who think that I am only flesh and bones-

A transient dweller on this fragile earth that gave me form.

For I am Spirit, Eternal, indestructible not confident in matter.

And when my sojourn here is through,

My roles fullfilled, my assignments done,

I lay aside this expression called my body and move on

To other mansions, roles, assignments, in our Father's home

of eternal life.

So dry your tears

Weep not overmuch for me..., Or for yourself.

Set me free in the Love that holds us all and makes us live eternally.

Our paths will cross again,

Our minds and hearts will touch,

Our souls will shout with joy and laughter as we rejoice

in the lives we lived, the worlds we've seen, the path we trod

to find ourselves, at last, in God.

My spoken words about Mom after reading the poem at her funeral

Despite the sadness that we often associate with this occasion, we can remember the qualities that Mom expressed humanly: joy, love, vitality, intelligence--they were manifestations of her true identity as a spiritual idea. These qualities can never die. They're eternal because they from from God. A spiritual idea cannot die, so we need to keep going forward in our growth just as she is on some other level.
